OUR PHILOSOPHYAs we all know, every dog is different. There is nothing written in stone on training dogs. Therefore, the ability to read and understand a working field dog is crucial in developing a program to bring out their full potential. We have trained many dogs from diverse breeding programs. All dogs are trained for one thing- success. We believe in positive reinforcement and quality not quantity. |
OUR MISSION We work hard to bring out the best in your dog. We have high standards for all our dogs and believe in positive reinforcement for them to succeed. We never let our dogs fail. Included in the training, all owners go through handler training. We have the best handler training in the business. All our handlers learn how to read a dog so they can continue to train their dog years to come. No matter if your hunting from a duck boat, or at a hunt test, you are always training your dog. All dogs go home with a solid foundation so you can maintain and advance to the next level. We encourage previous clients to come out and train anytime. |
REQUIREMENTS
- We take dogs no earlier than 5 1/2-6 months of age (when the adult teeth are in) unless in the puppy introduction program.
- All dogs must be up to date on all vaccinations incl. bordatella (kennel cough) and be on heartworm medication.

DEUCE
The training and care which you provided Deuce (and her brother Mac) was second to none. Both dogs love to hunt and have endless drive and energy yet when we get them home,they prefer to lie with their head in our lap. They are great hunting dogs and even better companions. I would like to thank you very much for the great way that you and your Staff treated me. The purchase of Lou was more than I ever dreamed of. I would like everybody to know what a great experience I had. Not only did I get a new dog as a friend, I got Sharp Retrievers as a new friend. I have talked to other people that bought dogs elsewhere and didn't get treated like I was. Too me that means a whole lot. DEEK

BUCK

LACY, TWISTER, AND SISSY
This is what happens when you get your dogs trained at Sharp Retrievers. I spent a couple of days hunting in NE last week by myself got my limit each day of sharptails and then lacked 1 pheasant of my limit in them each day. Then opening day in Kansas we all shot our limit by 2:30 then helped Taylor and his cousin finish shooting there limit. Jake, Lacy, Twister and Sissy all did a great job! Today we shot almost a limit of ducks and then finished the afternoon hunting pheasants each getting a couple a piece. The boys and everyone that hunts with us say having a great set of trained dogs takes hunting to a new level of enjoyment like they have never had before.
